Nice For What?

Nice For What?

Check out these Summer tips for the upcoming hot season.

Smells Like Summer

Cuffing season is dead.  Flights instead of feelings are being caught worldwide and festies are flooding our timelines.  Only thing we’re missing is the perfect summer anthem.

Where are you Drake?

After weeks of discussion, it's been settled you and your favorite people are having an epic summer adventure.

What should I do? What should I see? Where should I stay? These are the questions that run through your mind right before any major trip.  So, you deep dive into the world of YouTube and endless google searches.  A list of museums, monuments and food places has been curated, screenshots have been saved for photo ideas, and you feel confident and excited about your vacation.

Now you're in a foreign country and despite all your research you feel completely unprepared. Everything you packed is impractical for the weather, you didn't exchange your currency beforehand and every landmark on your list is heavily crowded making it hard to take it all in, let alone take an aesthetically pleasing picture.

When traveling across the world or even across Black Rock Desert so much can go wrong.  The last thing you should be worried about is a possible wardrobe issue.  Stylish functionality is key to any successful trip and we have come up with a few tips and must have pieces to make your trip easier without compromising the beauty of your social media feed, because although we don't want to spend the entire time taking pictures, we still want to take pictures.

1. Separate Your Sources of Money

Not to put negative energy in the room but losing your wallet on vacation or during a festival is a huge possibility.  It’s smart to keep a stash of money and an emergency credit card hidden in your room, just in case.  While you're out exploring sites or listening to your favorite band you want to take as many precautions as you can to avoid having to dip into that emergency stash.  Opting for a fanny pack, crossbody or a big bright colored bag will help keep your important items close.

2. Leave room for spontaneity

Planning every second of your trip will only leave you rushed and exhausted.  Allow yourself time to breath and fully take in the experience.  It’s important to stay prepared for any moment of spontaneity with comfortable shoes.  Yeah, those snakeskin sandals are cute, but they leave little room for getting lost in a new city.  Pack a pair of cute sneakers or walking sandals to avoid being the friend everyone hates for complaining about your feet hurting every 20 minutes.

3. Safety first

We all have those moments where are excitement level is so high, we forget to eat or put on lotion. Creating a small emergency kit of travel sized things to carry in your day bag is clutch. Be sure to include things like; sunblock, Chapstick, bugspray, Band-Aids, safety-pins, tissues, portable charger, and some sort or snack like a granola bar or crackers.  Summer weather is unpredictable when traveling to different climates, always pack a cute hat to give yourself some extra shade and a scarf to protect your face and allergies from any unexpected wind.

4. Relax and have fun!!!!

Adventures are supposed to be fun and relaxing, but all the planning and anticipation can make it stressful.  Remember you are there to have a good time and do things you’ve never done before. Pack light, comfortable and breathable pieces.  Bright colors and happy prints are a must. It’s been said, your clothes can affect your mood and emotions. Keep things free and effortless to set the right tone for your trip.

We’ve got a long warm summer ahead of us let’s make it one to remember!
