7 Perfect Dresses for Brunch

7 Perfect Dresses for Brunch

As we start to enter fall, we look forward to cooler weather. For us here in California unfortunately, the fall just means more days of eternal summer. We hope to get a few cool days in, but we honestly never really know if or when they will come. With Covid cases continuing to rise, we are lucky to live in an area where we can continue to enjoy restaurants and bars with outdoor seating.

New and cute patios have been popping up all over cities to accommodate dinners and customers in these unprecedented times. Sunday brunch can be had under the trees and surrounded by fresh air and bottles of Champaign. So if you find yourself going out to brunch and need a spunky dress to impress your friends, we’ve got some great options for you!

1. The Vintage Mini Dress

The first option we have is a cross between punk rock and sorority gal. This brunch look is for that effortlessly cool girl with great music taste. They go to all the coolest shows and after-hours parties all while maintaining their 3.0 GPA needed to remain in their prestigious college sorority. This gal is always on the go and having a great time in her mini dress. They’re not worried about wearing the most expensive thing to brunch because they’re just here to have a great time and look cute while doing it. This vintage dress will check all the boxes, so find it here at our Costa Mesa store.

2. The Slim Bodycon Dress

Speaking of wearing the most expensive dress to brunch, here we have a slimming bodycon dress by Paco Rabanne which would definitely be a contender. This dress just oozes quality and you can spot it from a mile away. Not to mention this sunset color wave is amazing to look at. This dress gives you the option to choose how sexy or formal you want to be. Adjust the buttons to the desired length and you can go from elegant to edgy leg show in minutes. And everyone will know your dress is designer by the perfect centered branding on the back of the dress.

3. The Chocolate Slip Night Dress

Now personally I love wearing night slips as dresses. Not only are they extremely sassy they are extremely breathable due to normally being made out of sheer material. So all in all the perfect dress for those hot fall days in California. This chocolate slip stays true to the traditional fall color scheme and will make the look feel less summery. Matched with a brown pair of cowboy boots and this look would be complete and ready to brunch in. And if you’re in an area that does experience fall weather grab a knitted sweater and you're good to go.

4. The Orange Slip Dress with Printed Stars

This next dress by Top Shop is the embodiment of David Bowie. It’s bright, it’s long and flows, and it’s got a bunch of subtle stars printed on the material. Any brunch spot that plays Let’s Dance or god forbid Starman is going to be in for a surprise. If you are an eccentric type who likes to show off your flair and style this Top Shop pick is for you.

5. The Flirty Vintage Betsey Johnson Dress

This next vintage Betsey Johnson dress reminds me of the iconic dress from 13 Going on 30. It’s got almost the exact same cute and same shades of blue and green. This fun and flirty dress is perfect for a Sunday Drag Brunch. You’ll be dancing and twirling the day away with a fist full of mimosas while hearing the best covers, all while looking spectacular. The cool tones of the dress will hide the sweat stains and inevitable spills that will occur from all the fun you were having.

6. The Perfect Victorian Puffy Sleeves Dress

This next dress is so fun and has such a unique cut. We love a good ol’ fashioned short dress with victorian puffy sleeves. With this psychedelic print, this dress looks like it would be perfect for tequila tasting in the country side with all your pals. Pair this dress with a matching pink pair of mules and the out is ready to take on the world. You’ll be looking as styling as Amy Bryant in Shrill.

7. The Ink Splatter Tie Dye Bodycon Dress

For our last pick, we have a simple but remarkable dress also by Top Shop. This ink splatter/ tie-die bodycon dress remains casual but versatile. Again, this style can be easily dressed up or down depending on the accessories. You’ll be the life of brunch quizzing and questioning people about what images they see in your Rorschach print dress. I’m sure most people will answer butterfly because it’s the most common answer, but nonetheless, the outfit will be a conversation starter.

Well, thank you for joining us and taking a look at our brunch dress collection. There are many more to be found in store, so pick your poison.
