Falling in Love with the Lineups
With summer coming to an end, music festivals helped us welcome the fall season. Different styles, a lineup of artists, and various venues hosting locals and visitors alike in states that just so happen to be home to some of our 2nd STREET stores. Afropunk - Brooklyn, NY
People in prints and patterns, vibrant colors, body art, and hair styles are all the different forms of self-expression you will see throughout the annual Afropunk venue. It is a communal gathering for folks to express themselves in a venue featuring punk and alternative Black artists. The looks are always bold and boundary-pushing, heritage-inspired, and street-style in an art form.

Primavera Sound - Los Angeles, CA
“Come as you are” was the unspoken dress code for the Primavera Sound festival in Los Angeles. With the European festival’s hometown being in Barcelona, it’s easy to pay homage to the city with bursts of colors, while still infusing the LA styles of streetwear and casualwear. Mix all of this influence with some Y2K fashion that is still trending, and you’ll see the inspiration for the outfits below - beginning with the yellow version of the iconic “My Date with the President’s Daughter” dress.

Made in America - Philadelphia, PA
Jay-Z’s annual Made in America festival took place over Labor Day weekend. With headliners like Bad Bunny and Tyler the Creator, the audience was a sea of primary colors and pastels (very Golf Le Fleur vibes), with waves of colors just crashing into each other making it a spectacle. But with a title like “Made in America” and a city with so much history, it would also make sense to pay homage to some American designers and brands - like Harley Davidson and Levis.
